Broken Submarine

Back in 2004, HMCS Chicoutimi caught on fire in Halifax. It is one of four used subs we bought from Britain in 1998. After we bought the subs, all four of them immediately broke.

For some reason, to fix Chicoutimi, the submarine had to be placed on this cargo ship and brought from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean, via the Panama Canal. It’s been at Ogden Point, near my apartment, for a few days now, but will soon be moved to a graving dock* in Esquimalt, Home of Canada’s Pacific Navy.

*I have no idea what a graving dock is.
